I've spent the whole week at various game, robotic, and performance art events around the Main St. area, and will post a bit more on this soon.

In the meanwhile, I've been asked to give a talk for SFU's upcoming Open House on June 2nd. Here's my abstract-- it's a topic I haven't done in a while, but that's why it's an update, I think:

When gender and gaming first hit our radar, everyone was suddenly talking about Lara Croft’s cup size and the lack of “girl game” initiatives. Have things changed since the startling revelation that women DO play games? How (if at all) has the debate affected the gaming market, popular attitudes and mainstream culture? Here’s an update on the status of women and gaming.
